Did you know this about Mother’s Day?

  • The official flower of Mother’s Day is the carnation.

  • It’s one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants.

  • More phone calls are made on Mother’s Day than any other day of the year.

Mothers have a special place in the heart of God

Did you know that mothers are mentioned hundreds of times in the Bible, and nearly 100 mothers are specifically mentioned by name? And don’t forget, of all the ways God could have sent the Savior into the world, He chose to do so through a mother.

Throughout His Word, God reveals many wonderful promises for those who trust in Him. Here are a few that are especially meaningful for mothers.

Promises of God:

Help in Time of Need “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Faithful Provision “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

Strength & Perseverance “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Divine Peace “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication … let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Abundant Hope & Joy “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Can you claim these PROMISES as your own?

The promises you’ve just read are reserved for people who know God. By nature, we are all separated from God because of our sin. But in His great love, God made the way for our sins to be forgiven and our relationship with Him to be restored. He did this by sending His Son, Jesus, to lay down His life, taking the punishment for our sins. Jesus then rose from the dead, signifying that God accepted His sacrifice, and proving that sin and death have been defeated!

Everyone who turns to God and puts their complete trust in Jesus receives God’s free gift of salvation and will spend eternity in Heaven with Him. Have you trusted Him as your Savior? Turn to Him today!

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
